GWD recommends the Wasabi DX if you are unsure which modchip to select. This is the very latest device for the Nintendo Wii and is feature packed (tech spec below) The Wasabi DX is very easy to update. Your console will arrive with the latest firmware version already installed to make sure the very latest backups will work.

Please note GWD recommends only updating your Wii from games that ask you to do so. Please do not update from the internet, if you are unsure about any updates, please call our offices.

•If you update to the V4.2E firmware on your console you may find that some of your games no longer work as this update blocks brickblocked games and ntsc titles. If this is the case then you'll need to either re-burn your titles in pal format or install the homebrew channel on your console. As the only reason to have a backup game is to backup games you own chances are that this update will have no affect on your discs at all and you can keep gaming as normal. Those people who pull down games off the net will most likely have a few games that will no longer run.

Our collection service can be used for multiple services for one collection fee. Up to 10 consoles can be collected for one collection fee paid.

E.g. if you are ordering a repair service on an Xbox 360, and a modchip install for a Nintendo Wii, just add our collection service to one of your order items, this by default will collect both items for one cost. If ordering the same service on multiple consoles, add the 2 services to your cart separately, one with collection, one without, this again will collect both consoles by default.

We will book your collection then email packing, address, tracking and collection date details etc. If you require a specific collection date, please add comments to your order when checking out.

If we are not collecting your console, an email will be sent with full packing instructions and address details once your order is placed.
